Meet the Founder

Nicole Winnaman

First and foremost... Nicole considers herself a loving and engaged mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend. If you are ever around her, more than likely she will be spritzing you with something that smells fabulous and brings a bright smile. Since the age of 5, she was fascinated with scent and the art of layering fragrance. By first grade she was crushing verbena blooms from the garden and blending them with ivy and red roses.

Scent aside, Nicole also brings over 20 years of experience in Celebrity Branding and is widely regarded as one of the top entertainment Brand Partnership Brokers in the world.

Winnaman was recently named one of the most "Powerful Women in Entertainment" by Forbes Magazine, and The Hollywood Reporter recognized her for developing, negotiating and executing several of today's most innovative commercial deals with the world's most prestigious brands and A-List Celebrities.

Winnaman is responsible for several of today's top beauty and fragrance deals, including Britney Spears Fragrance and partnership with Elizabeth Arden, Justin Bieber's Fragrance deal with Give Back Brands, Fergie and Markwins among a host of others. Her branding experience, relationships, expertise, entrepreneurial spirit and passion for fragrance led to her to found Original Scent and Shades of YOU to share her vision and passion for custom fragrance.

Do you ever smell a scent on someone else and love it, but when it's on you it just doesn't smell the same? That's because it doesn't smell the same.

The word perfume means "of smoke." Perfume gives off it's scent based on heat. Since all of us have slightly different body temperatures, the notes of a perfume will come off differently on each individual.
That means that our own body chemistry is the final ingredient in any perfume!

At Original Scent, our trained Scentologists take into account your unique body chemistry when mixing your signature scent. Your one of a kind scent will be made to tailor to the very essence of you. It's made just for you and if you do decide to share (we never do!), it won't smell quite as good on anybody else.
